Talking Exhaust depot true dual system - reviewed

Ok, Im a week late....sorry. But, Evo-to-G's thread got me excited to post some pics and some video.

Prior mods: AAM custom made intake, AAM HFC.

New Mods: Exhaust Depot True Dual Exhaust with x-pipe. / Cobb AP

http://www.exhaustdepot.net/etrducasywix.html

Overall - the fit and finish were great. Minor damage was done via fed-ex, but nothing that would be seen (slight chip in the ceramic coating).

X pipe and overall install was easy as pie. Again, thanks Frank!

Tips - just a slight smaller than stock. With the exhaust on the car, it looks stock. Nice, the mufflers don't hang too low. I found that the stock mufflers had road rash from the car sitting so low. Damn speed bumps and inclines.

I cant begin to tell you how happy I am. This system sounds SICK. The note is deep and only gets better while on the road. Drone is slight in cabin, but who the hell cares!!!

I did this mod with the COBB tune, the HFC'c were on prior. Let me tell you, ear to ear grin on the ride back from Hills. WOW, what a differnece. Now, stage 2+ map and a dyno to come.

Enjoy the video: http://vimeo.com/3933263

Props:
Thanks to Hector @ Exhaust Dept for the sick deal and the first system for the G37.
Thanks to Frank @ Hills Garage for the install and misc parts.

A slight variation of the exhaust was off, less than 1/4 in but with some minor mods (thanks Frank! +1 for hills) its not all that visible.

haha yea you mentioned in my thread you were gonna put a review up.

sounds sick!!

are you having that problem where it has the buzzing/rattle issue when the revs drop? i think im hearing it slightly in your vid but for me its alot more louder and annoying. My magnaflows sound amazing as do yours but that buzzing noise is really getting to me.
i heard alot of other people having this problem with there magnaflows and hfc. let me know if yours is bad or what.

Josh buddy!!!! Thanks for allowing me to serve ya!

I personally like the sound when it has stock cats in. The HFC tendo to add for the most part to all the systems out there. Here it is with stock cats:

Even my dog approves.

Magnaflow, Borla, Stillen, HKS all do it. The only system that you can hear it minimally is the Fast intentions catback.

I gotta say though this exhaust sounds really good with or without the HFCs.

Yea but it seems like for me the noise is really really noticable compared to others. Im hoping as the exhaust breaks in maybe it will be less noticable. I'll try and post some sound clips of mine in my thread i made.

My Borla with OEM cats is just as bad. The MXP exhaust is going to be the same. You'll be able to hear it out of any of the exhausts. When I first got it installed, I thought there was a leak until I read about the nature of the VQ engines.
