I've had my exhaust now about a month. Just got back from a 9 hour round trip to Houston and I must say I love my Tanabe exhaust. Cruising at 75mph, the exhaust was a perfect gentleman. No "drone" at all and only got a little louder when I punched it to pass some slow poke. At times the road noise from my tires was more apparent than the exhaust. Got 23 mpg on the trip down.

only thing I don't like about the tanabe is that it isn't as nice looking as the invidia. I love the two cans though, but hate the rusty look

+1 for Tanabe, nice exhaust. Acquaintance with a 350Z has the full exhaust with Y-Pipe, and it sounds good and made some good hp gains. Post up some sound clips when you get a chance.

I would get this bad boy as well:

I just installed my Tanabe's 2 days ago. It's paired only with the Injen SRI.

I love how it looks but I honestly still dont know how I feel about the sound. From the cabin it is noticeably louder / deeper. I'd like to hear it from a "spectators" ears though. I just need a volunteer driver.

Is it me or do this exhaust take away that VQ exhaust sound that I loved? I'm kinda missing that sound.

Maybe I just need to get used to them.

Yeah I know what you mean. That's why I only planned on having this exhaust for about a year or so. I'll be putting my stocks back on eventually.

nothing beats stock sound IMO. Just wish stock looked like the tanabe then we'd be in business

Give it some time before you come to any conclusions. Let it brake in for a week or two then the soud will quiet up a bit and become more refined. When i first put mine on it seemed extremely loud and not that pleasent. After about two weeks is started sounding much better. That was with just stock intakes, but when i put on the injens it didnt change it any.

+1

It will get more refined and in my opinion the tone gets better. Have someone drive your car and you can stand on the curb to listen

I hope it does. I'll have my brother drive it around while listen. I hope it does get more refined.

Thanks for the feedbacks.

I've said it before, I love my Tanabe sound and it does become more refined with age. I want to add an Injen SRI but I don't want it to get any louder than it is.

** Update....

So the weather cleared up today and I was able to have my brother run a few times through a straight away secluded road. I gotta say, I like what I hear. I have it on video with my point and shoot camera but I don't have a clue how to upload it.

Maybe it's just me but I do feel a bit of a gain on the performance side. It feels less restrictive when I step on the accelarator and shift. Could my butt dyno be wrong?
