Quick question about installing Berk HFCs?

I just bought a used set of Berk HFCs, when i take them out of the box, i see one o2 sensor bungs is closed off with a bolt, ok, but im 99.99% sure its the wrong one. lol

I just wanna make sure this is backwords before i unscrew it and screw it into the shorter bung.

Also, i didnt receive any bolts or gaskets with them, can i reuse the stock bolts and gaskets, or should i buy new ones. IIRC when i installed my HKS the cats have bolts attached to them so i dont think ill be able to reuse those.

heres some pics:

hm... how did that happen? looks like it's in the wrong hole.

you need new gaskets, you old ones have a possibility of leaking... don't take that chance unless you don't care.

are you installing these yourself... or? and did you buy these from another member? looks used

Yeah i figured they were in the wrong hole.

Yes im installing these myself, just like everything else on my car pretty much.

Yep i bought them from a member on here who barely posts at all. He just happens to work at the shop i get my rims from, so i got a good price.

Ok, so i need new gaskets, but what about the bolts? Im sure i need a set for the HFC_Ypipe side, but what about the header to HFC side, do i need new bolts for that or are the bolts attached to the headers?

OH, also, when i move the bolt to the other hole, is it ok just to screw it in, or should i use some kind of sealant like loctite or something?

you can reuse the gaskets, the oem mutli-layer steel gaskets are very high quality and can be reused several times,

oh ya change the bung bolt to the other hole

I have Berk HFCs on the way from the recent group buy. I was thinking about doing the install myself. I did the Tanabe Medallion (very simple), the XYZ-pipe (more difficult mainly because its hard to break the bolts loose without having the car on a lift). I like to do my own work but not if I'm getting in over my head. I have tools, jack stands, creeper. Anybody done it? Advice?

Apparently it's quite difficult, sometime like a 1,5-2hour job, also if your car is old, your bolts might be rusted on making it even harder. Just make sure you don't break your O2 sensors.

I bought new gaskets and sandwich the gaskets with ultra copper rtv silicone.
It took me 3hrs to install mine. You gonna need a very long extension for the bolts from headers.

The extra bung can be used for A/F sensor or when you dyno if you want an accurate reading.

Just a tip. The top outside bolts for the cats you want to go in from the top with a long extension. They are a pain in the *** when you do them in your drive way on your back. Took me about 2.5-3 hours.

You're not talking about exhaust leak, are you? No rattles but I do have that annoying hissing sound when I let off the gas. Kinda like a BOV but not as cool. That hissing sound seems normal. There's already a thread about it.
