Keep in mind, that out of state relative would have to pay for them and all billing and shipping info would have to have absolutly no ties to the California customer. Then it shouldn't be a problem. It sounds like it could work but it could be a real hassle...

Thats why I say relative, and not a member of the forum. The relative would need to use his/her info to place the order.
I know you are based in CA, but what about companys who are not based in CA? How much trouble could they get in for selling HFC's to a customer in CA?
Its too bad you can't get around this new law, what about test pipes? are those still legal to sell, for off road use only? Why not make "filtered" test pipes, aka HFC's?
I'm just curious here. I always thought that a vehicle's emissions with HFC's were as good or cleaner than stock/OEM cats on that particular vehicle. Is this not the case?

No way. I can smell the gas fumes with the HFCs a lot stronger than without. Many newer cars that would pass state emissions tests with OEM equipment will be borderline or fail with HFCs.
Uh, there's hot Asian chics everywhere dude. Tons of them here in Houston. Everywhere has it's good points. Florida is awesome. Cali is a wonderful place to visit, but you couldn't pay me to live there. Lots of folks would feel the same about Texas.
But we can modify the hell out of our cars and it's legal, so suck on that surfer boys!
