Do you have any issues with the driver side intake vibrating against the strut tower area?

yeah i did, i just took a piece of thick foam padding that had adhesive on one side and stuck it between the intake pipe and the tower, problem solved

My gen 2 rattled against the strut tower. Freaked me out when i heard a rattling noise when i would put it in reverse in the morning. I loosened the clamp at the throttle body and was able to manipulate the tube within the clamp so that there is now a good 1/2" of clearance or so.

?? ive been driving around in snow and rain for the last week and havent had any issues, unless you completely douche the front of your car in water i dont see how it would get into the filters, maybe he has the plastic shield on incorrectly.

For those who are also concerned about the rain issue, DONT BE!
.... I had to experience this the other week when there was a rain storm in Los Angeles as it was POURINGGGGGGGG for a good week and yet everything was A-okay!

Just like someone else mentioned, don't mash the gas and your fine.

Um, you may be jumping to conclusions. I would think mashing the gas in wet weather on this car with VDC on would cause loss of power. Was VDC on?

Besides, punching it in the rain in a 300+hp RWD car isn't a good idea anyways, unless you like to crash.

exactly my point, that I was just typing, I don't think you would want to mash the gas during wet roads and pouring rain haha.
