My gen 2 rattled against the strut tower. Freaked me out when i heard a rattling noise when i would put it in reverse in the morning. I loosened the clamp at the throttle body and was able to manipulate the tube within the clamp so that there is now a good 1/2" of clearance or so.

?? ive been driving around in snow and rain for the last week and havent had any issues, unless you completely douche the front of your car in water i dont see how it would get into the filters, maybe he has the plastic shield on incorrectly.

For those who are also concerned about the rain issue, DONT BE!
.... I had to experience this the other week when there was a rain storm in Los Angeles as it was POURINGGGGGGGG for a good week and yet everything was A-okay!
Just like someone else mentioned, don't mash the gas and your fine.

well so im sure every1 is wondering if the intake is safe in rain .... WELL ITS NOT !!!! i drove in rain today and my intake was sucking up water so my engine would bogg and completely loose power , but the engine did stay running .... i notice if i take it easy there were no problems but when i mash on the gas it seems as if the water was getting sucked into the throttle body making my engine die out .... i got home opened up my hood and looked at the filters and the shield barely did anything and water was all over the actually filter .... so my opinion is the intake is a great design and does make good power, but those stillen guys guaranteed me its safe in rain and its totally not .. just dont punch it and ur cool ....
Besides, punching it in the rain in a 300+hp RWD car isn't a good idea anyways, unless you like to crash.
