I never thought it could be the problem from the hfc since it was installed by who made it.
So i took out my Injen intake and change the A/F sensor both side but it didnt go away.
And finally i found out it was from hfc.
And you know what tony sealed with silicone again, ha ha

Next week i will go to the dealer and ask them to get me the gasket for it
I will never go to FI again

You talk about your experience here with us like it was a nightmare. We have been as gracious with you as possible. You have never complained once to me. Every time I have come up with a solution you went along. But now you want to come air your frustrations out here, not cool man!

When you did finally decide to make me aware of the problem I set time aside to have you come in and I installed the non foulers. Now apparently the check engine light came back on some time down the road. You called me and again, I told you I would inspect the cats to see if they were defective. I told you if they were, I would replace them free of charge. At some point through all of this, you were the one that decided to Repeatedly go to the dealer without consulting us first.

Now, until last week you did not know that they were leaking because I told you that they were leaking. When I had discovered that someone else had removed them and improperly reinstalled them. I asked you face to face who had tampered with them and at first you were hesitant with a deer in the headlight look. When I repeatedly asked you, the truth came out. You said "the dealership removed them and reinstalled them" Then I told you that they were leaking and the reason that they were leaking was because the dealership scraped all of the silicone off and never applied new silicone. So now you have two flanges mated together with no silicone or gasket. Of course it would leak!

When you left, I told you that we were working on getting gaskets made and a permanent non fouler fix. I told you if the light came back on, call me immediately. You seemed very understanding, however I must of mis read you because you had to bring the issue here...

Thanks!

Seems Like Tony did everything he could do... Good Job... sometimes people dont understand face to face intructions i guess...lol

Yes, we use High Temp. Silicone for the VQHR This is not a permanent thing. We are currently working on getting gaskets made. There is nothing wrong with the silicone. I have a twin turbo mustang that has over $100,000.00 into it and makes almost 1,000 HP at the wheels. I DO NOT USE GASKETS BECAUSE I BLEW THEM OUT! I USE SILICONE AND IT DOES NOT LEAK!

A while back I tried buying gaskets from Berk Technology and Bryan wanted to rip me off by charging me $18.00 per gasket purchasing 100 at a time. NO THANKS!!!

Ultimately the gasket is a better way to go and we are working towards offering all of you that. But make no mistake, if the silicone is used properly in the install process, then you will not blow it out!

As for the non fouler fix, we will have a permanent fix very soon and if all goes well if should take less then 5 minutes to install and you will be able to run straight test pipes with no CEL.

At least you know you are supporting a shop that produces high quality parts in the US, not in china. not sure if they berks is made here
Thanks for the support Vik!

7 or 8 times
meanwhile, i had to reinstalled my injen(dealer told me so) and changed both o2 sensor before the CAT and finally took out injen and sent it for the warranty cover.
And last week when tony took out my HFC there was leakage going on

What did i do for last 4months?
Just 2 gasket might saved my time and worry.
Yes, by the cats leaking it could of caused the CEL light but like I previously stated, they were tampered with by another installer. How does that make this my fault?

Good to see the other side of the story and FI for being professional with all this negativity/bashing.

he didnt touch befor the cat and leakage was on there.

tony
On the phone you told me inspection will take only 30 minute after cool it down.
How long i was there?? 3hrs-- and what for?
you were testing other problem with my car
(he installed stock cat one side and tested some voltage things)
b/c of that my car ecu had all kind of code-according to the dealer

i know that you dont have a test vehicle but that was not way to do it.

The cats were removed by someone else because when I removed them they had someone else's hardware in them. Yes, it took longer then expected and I was trying to figure out a solution to your CEL light. I kept you informed every step of the way. You knew why it was taking so long. Now you have become unbearable to deal with and everything you have brought to the table here did not need to happen. If you had an issue with the way I was doing things then, why didn't you speak up then. I know, it is so much easier to make your problems everyone else's instead of handling it with me directly. Now you have basically high jacked Max's thread and it is sad that whoever chimes in, doesn't even know what the original topic was about. I am done responding to you here, if you want to discuss anything with me, you know how to reach me. If you want wait for our gaskets, they will be released soon, if you want to buy the Berk gaskets then buy those. Either way, I feel like you have handled this situation in a poor manner.

One last thing to keep in consideration, when you came back in this last time your cats had all of the silicone scraped off. You admitted that the dealership had taken them off. Now, this is what caused your cats to leak, nothing that I did. I could of and should of charged you for the labor, but I did not. So next time someone else touches our product don't expect us to fix the problem for free...

Tony
