That silicone was not last long so i had cel b/c of leakage.
I never thought it could be the problem from the hfc since it was installed by who made it.
So i took out my Injen intake and change the A/F sensor both side but it didnt go away.
And finally i found out it was from hfc.
And you know what tony sealed with silicone again, ha ha

Next week i will go to the dealer and ask them to get me the gasket for it
I will never go to FI again

^^^ never again because of one gasket? Did you talk o tony about this? Tony chime in on this. I would think it is not included because you should be able to use the stock one. But if he installed this why would he not know to do this. I think we need to hear the other side of this story.

Well to take his side for a minute he might be right and we should get the other gaskets too. But from my dealings with tony for him to just silicon it sounds a little out there but I don't know. I think tony should chime in here but I think he is out until monday as I have been trying to contact him with no luck.

Just my 2-cents

With all else being more or less equal, PRICE was the MAJOR factor for me and I went with BERK as a result. It was more than a few bucks.....

Tony has been great every time I have ever emailed him and all his stuff looks really good. He has an awesome rep on the forums and appears to really stand behing his work.

As for performance, I think we have seen dynos with each and they are VERY close, if not the exact same, from each vendor.

As far as CEL...I have 15,000 on my G and have a co-worker also in Berk's that has around 4k. Neither of us has ever had a CEL with the Berk's.

Whatever one decides, they are both winners and a GREAT low cost mod!!!

I had a cel from day one with my berks. but really who cares about that not a big deal to me I had my dealer replace the 02 sensor twice to see if the sensor was the issue but it was the cats and that was the berks. so I had decied to order non-foulers from tony but then i crashed my car and no am getting an 09 but already hve fi F catback and HFC's in the garage.

$640 not shipped for FI vs $450 shipped for Berks decided it for me. I was very pleased with the quality of my Berks.

i may be way off but i think thats what I was told...
if you dont know a lot and you arent even sure, then how am i wrong??
the entire reason a "fouler" is put on after the cat is so that the secondary o2 sensor sees the proper amount of o2 gases so it does not trip a code, so you can see the berk's actually have an attempt at providing a fouler already, thats why you see the o2 bung stepped out much farther off the piping. it doesnt matter how much farther it is after the cat, the o2 is going to read the same amount. so the Berk actually already comes with a very good feature. why you dont throw a cel i dont know. but understand how things actually work before you tell someone their wrong.

the only thing that should really matter in a hfc are the internals. seeing as they're both 300 cell metallic, who cares. all it comes down to is if you want a shiny 1 or not. seeing as fi hfc are only like $530 shipped now, id probably just pay more to match the exhaust. of course, after having a rusty xo2 exhaust on my 35 - who cares cause its under the car lol.

oh and good job on the comparison ben.

Yeah, you hit it man. HFC's are more about function then asthetics. I would car less if my HFC's had zebra stripes on it. No one is going to see it so it comes down to price to the door. Both perform the same. If I had the FI exhaust then I'd probably spring the extra money for the FI HFC's just for support issues if they arise. Don't have to worry about the HFC people blaming the Cat back people as they would be the same company. I got a good deal on the berks and couldn't be happier.

Max, are those the v2 Berk HFC's. It is fair to note that the diameter is a little bit wider then the first version.
