Stillen 3G Intake Review + Dyno
Finally, everything is done!
First off, let me start off by saying thank you to Kyle, Josh and Mike @ Stillen for making this possible, and helping me throughout this process.
I would also like to thank OCG35 (Mike) for helping out with the dyno information, and of course Shawn, the head man of the dyno shop called "Church Automotive Testing". Great guy, great shop.
And lastly a very special thank you to jks toy! (Jake), Skyline-Lexy (John) and N_jay (Neil) for helping out with the install, I couldn't have done it without you guys...thanks...

Here are the questions Kyle asked me to answer:
1) Q: Power gains- Obviously...haha
A: According to butt dyno (lol), I def feel a power gain, and the dyno chart proves just that. Power Gains - 10/10
2) Q: Appearance- What do you think of this intake visually? What do you think of the build quality?
A: Appearance wise, and build quality seems solid and much better than the JWTs in my opinion. Everything felt, looked, and sounded perfect. Appearance- 10/10
3) Q: Fit and finish- What do you think of the intake when it is finally installed? Does it look good? Do you not like it? If so, what don't you like?
A: When the intake was finally installed, literally everyone in the shop was admiring how "sick" it looked. I personally LOVE it, looks insane! In the end, the fitment was near perfect. Fit & Finish- 8/10
4) Q: Ease of installation- We know that this is not going to be an easy intake to install as we do recommend removing the fascia. However, it would still be good to hear about it.
A: I installed it WITHOUT removing the bumper, but I highly recommand to do so. EXTREMELY hard to do this install by yourself or if you have NO knowledge in modding at all. This install took 2 hours with the help of 4-6 people. Extremely hard install - 9/10
5) Q: Sound- Does it give you a warm fuzzy feeling when you accelerate and hear it howl?
A: Sound, all I have to say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 100X better than the JWTs, much improved. I had shivers running down my spine as I accelerated hard. Sound- 9/10
My Personal Input
Everything was done on the dyno, the car was NOT moved at all during the entire process. Temp at baseline was like 84 degrees, and temp after install was roughly about 70 degrees.
This intake is amazing, a much improved upgrade over my JWT's. However, the installation was extremely hard, the air vent holes had to be cut so the pipes can fit, which caused a severe headache for me. Another interesting problem that I have, when I put my car in to reverse, a strong vibration shakes the car... I will look in to this later this week to see what the problem may be
The first pull on the dyno, it reached near 20 HP gain, but on the third pull, it died down again, for some odd reason. (Yes the ECU was reset, don't ask). We kept going and it reached a max of 20 hp, but the consistent HP was 14.5
Probably 8-10 pulls.
Shawn, the owner of the dyno shop, was surprised that the mid range had a small gain, but up top had huge gains. Overall, he seemed it's a good gain for an intake.
I personally love the intakes, but the installation is by far the hardest thing I've ever done on a car, but I would def recommand this intake unit to anyone searching the market for one.
