Tanabe Medalion w/Y-pipe 720p HD video

I wanted to test out Vimeo 720p HD video so I put together a quick test of Tanabe Medalion w/Exhaust depot Y-pipe sound from inside the car windows up. I have a stock intake btw.

I learned that I need to disable image stablization, that's the rattling sound you here which is why I clipped this one down.

http://www.vimeo.com/2130466 Check it out HD video, make sure you click full screen and if you use the embedded video click the HD On icon to go to Vimeo's site and play it, the embedded player won't play in HD.

Nice vid. Nice road too! Did you install the y pipe and tanabe at the same time or separately?

Thanks, I picked the Y-pipe up a few weeks after I put the exhaust on. After break-in the Tanabe toned down quite a bit and I wanted a little more volume which the Y-pipe helped out with perfectly. It's still quiet cruising as you can hear unless above 3K RPM on the highway which should allow for a nice balance once I put the intake on.

As for the road, thats just the neighborhood, once I get the intake I'm heading to the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the top drives in the country.

Great vid. Sounds great. Any pix from the rear, preferably "worm's eye" and "seated driver behind you" aspects? Great job.

I love the engine braking sound in this video. Don't get to hear much of that in most exhaust videos. Great stuff!

I have the Tanabe too and am interested in the Y pipe but not sure if it's worth it. What do you think? Did it add growl or volume ? Any difference in performance?

I have the Exhaust Depot Y-Pipe, although this one looks pretty hot and increases your options with swappable components. The Y-pipe will give you more volume, no change to tone , any more and it would be annoying bordering on drone IMO.

I enjoy exhaust videos, to get a sense of the tone.. I wish I knew how loud to set my speakers for accurate volume. Need a reference sound.. Let's honk the horn on all new videos, so we can calibrate our speakers...
