I'm going back to the shop where I had all my other dynos done at, so I'll have a baseline to go off of. I know it won't be done like Stillen's guidelines for the testers, but I just want an idea of how much I gained, cause it feels like a lot! and if I come back with like 10hp, I'm not blameing the straps holding my car I saw 7 hp. from JWT with my mods, and this feels WAY better then those intakes. They, the shop, are trying to tell me they only dyno now on Friday and Saturdays now, but I'm gonna show up and force my way onto the dyno tomorrow!!

Ok I installed the Gen3 this Sunday. Previously, I had the Fujita intakes. The Fujitas weren't bad unless you had to drive for more than 30 min. At that point, you lost all low-end torque cuz you were sucking in the very hot air from the engine bay. First impression with the Stillen Gen3, low-end torque is there and there and it doesn't go away with extended driving. Also, I noticed the tranny doesn't shift down as much as it did with the Fujitas when you accelerate a little harder than norm. My only upgrades are the Tanabe axle back exhaust and the grounding kit. Car sounds great now and definitely performs better. Looking forward to AZ's dyno. As for me, I'm OK with the butt dyno results. Car just feels significantly better.

Sorry but anyone that says an intake is the difference to being pinned in your seat is smokin' something. JK, lil' placebo effect maybe? I'm thinkin it probably achieves around what Injen "claimed" theirs would make - which is pretty damn good! It does sound sick though, nice post!

i saw this first hand, well second hand really my freind had a cia on a senrta SE R, filter was in the front wheel well, in the bumper, only covered by that black wheel well cover, anyway sucked up water in a big puddle, warped two pistons, had to have his engine rebuilt, so it defenatly happens, but from some rain into the grill or radiator, ive never seen that.

^^ no placebo effect, it could be that with all my exhaust mods my car needed that free flowing cold air coming in. It made a HUGE difference after these were installed. My dyno will be posted on this thread no later then 2pm pacific tomorrow.

I like your enthusiasm and how happy you are with your new intake, but buddy, if you truly think you're being pinned to your seat thanks to your intake then you probably don't have much experience with engine modifications and their effects. 18 whp out of an intake system is VERY questionable; in fact, it's very unlikely. Like everyone said, butt dynos are worthless, go get it dynoed and show us the numbers, but don't be disappointed when you see how far off the numbers are. Perception is a b*tch...intake noise makes ya think your car is faster, when in fact, it probably isn't.
