R2C Help req: G37 JWT replacement filter
R2C is currently designing a nanofiber replacment filter for the G37 JWT pop charger. If you haven't read already these filters provide better airflow and filtering both initially and when loaded and also do not require oiling. They are looknig for input from current G37 JWT owners concerning the amount of free space that exist around the stock gause filter. They would like to make this filter as big as possible. As I'm still waiting on mine... I'm reaching out to the community. If you would like to assist them with this please email Ed @ salesinquiries@r2cperformance.com. Ed offered to send me sample filters, Son of a @#$%@, that I don't have my Popcharger yet... I'm passing this on to the next lucky guy.

They already have a G37 intake and Ed did confirm it uses a venturi design. I've asked for more information on them as well and will share, it appears they're still working on that.
What they are designing now is the replacement filter for the G37 JWT popcharger. After finding out they design their filters specifically for the car/intake and not just by size, I had my order for the G35/350Z switch out so I should be in their first G37 JWT popcharger filter releases. I'd really like to get the new JWT's post passenger side mod to see if there's any additional room... hurry up JWT!!!

R2C response on timeline for G37 filters. I also let them know JWT is making mods to fix the passenger side fitment issue although I doubt it will change filter sizing.
I would suspect that the JWT replacement filter should be ready in the next week or two based on the testing we are currently conducting. I guess it would be prudent to evaluate what actual changes JWT incorporates into the new design at this point. I don't want to create an issue in retrofitting based on the original installation/sizing although I don't expect that will be the case.
The filter testing we are currently conducting also applies to our G37 intake system. So far it's working out well but another few days of test data never hurts. We'll certainly do the best we can in both respects.
I'll try to send you updates as soon as possible.
Thanks again,
Ed

They were looking for some feedback on JWT Filter area, yea they have their own intakes, while similar I'm sure they aren't exactly the same and were probably designed to allow as large a filter as possible. Hard to tell by the picture but these look quite a bit larger then the JWT's filter. According to Ed, they are still testing and I'd imagine tweaking the filter design on both intakes. Depending on testing they should both be ready for sale within a week or two.

I just received a reply from Ed, he inquired earlier, if I would be interested in evaluating the R2C replacement filters for the JWT Pop Charger. However, I explained to him I was so impressed with the design and construction of the R2C PowerFlow intake that I returned by JWT to HP Autoworks in lieu of purchasing the PowerFlow. So, Ed is looking for someone who has the JWT Pops installed that is interested in evaluating the R2C filters. So, if someone is interested, please contact Ed at salesinquiries@r2cperformance.com
