Straight Pipe sound clips

I've finally had a chance to upload the other videos to YouTube so I figured I would put them all in one spot.

The first one is a little long, about 5 minutes, but I think it's a good all around assessment. The entire video is with the windows up. Starts with a highway cruise around 80 mph or so, includes some mild to moderate accel and a WOT blast from 80-1xx. I then slow down a bit, make another WOT run starting in 2nd gear, a little heel-and-toe downshifting, then moderate low speed accel. Very little drone while cruising, noise picks up with even just a little throttle, though.

This second one is with the windows down, including a warm start up and some WOT accel.

Lastly, this one is with the windows down, entering an on ramp, then while at highway speeds, rolling the windows up. Kind of gives you an idea of the difference between windows up and down.

This coming weekend I'll try to do some driveby footage. Depends on whether or not Hurricane Ike comes through.

It may be a little loud for some tastes, but for me coming from an LS1 V8 with an open exhaust, this is pretty mild.

I guess a guy from Dubai could crack Dunkin Donut's jokes on cops on a public forum. Me, not so much.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm really liking the sound. It sounds more like a small V-8 up close.

Yeah, it is pretty loud, but I used to drive my Camaro around like that all the time. It's exhaust was very open. Moderately aggressive cam, 1 3/4" mid-length headers, off-road y-pipe ("test pipes" in import land), and a 3" cut out that dumped the exhaust right behind the passenger's seat.

If you listen to the third video, it's pretty quiet once you're cruising and with the windows up.

Stock cats in place and no CEL. I don't think I will get a CEL because the muffler doesn't affect emmisions. No pics yet, but I'll see if I can get some this weekend.

Ummm... errr... Those were digitally enhanced special effects incorporated into the video to provide vicarious adrenaline rushes.

Due to the mass influx of adrenaline toxic patients in emergency rooms around the nation, the special effects have been removed.
