Poor fit of Magnaflow exhaust?

Anyone had any issues with their Magnaflow exhaust? I got mine installed the other day and one tailpipe is noticably longer than the other. Am I the only one? I sent an e-mail to Magnaflow and this was one of the questions that was asked of me.

you have to adjust it, play around with the tip section that slides over tha main muffler and also the hangers and you should be able to get it just right.

It could be the mid pipes are swapped .I think one is longer than the other if my memmory serves me.Not possitive but should check that also.Hope this helps.

This is true you are correct, however this is not what causes one tip to stick out further. I had this problem 2x until I finally got it right. What happens is when you are attatching the muffler assembly system the mid pipes move around as you need to keep them loose to get everything to fit etc. WHat happens is when you think they stayed in place they didn't, they move slightly out of the X-pipe on one side or the muffler assembly moves out of the mid pipe slightly etc. which causes one tip to be off in the end after you finish putting the muffler assembly on.

What I had to do was loosen up the side that was sticking out more (in my case it was the right side) and pull back on the muffler assembly unit as hard as you can with all your weight behind it. In my case my muffler assembly unit moved back ever so slightly about 1/3 of an inch into the mid pipe and I had to hold it in place (you have to hold it with a ton of force) and tighten that bastard up while keeping it held in completely and then you will be good.

Don't except one tip sticking out more than the other, I did at first and all my friends noticed it and it was only 1/3 of an inch. I actually posted pics in my magnaflow review post, showing the right tip off slightly and then showing it after I fixed it correctly. Good luck, and believe me, it should and will line up exact, you will be happy and proud of the look when it's right, I sure was.
