i thinkt the greddy is a catback system while the tanabe's are axle back. the sound seems very similar as well as the meager hp gains. the tanabe has a double wall tip while the greddy has a single wall.

price is almost the same for each. i'm getting mine put on tomorrow and i will let you know how i like it. the tanabe medallions i have sitting here (waiting to be put on) are put together extremely well. welds are smooth as butter and the finish is immaculate. all labelling is laser etched and i could not be happier at this point. we'll see how the install goes and if there are any issues afterwards.

if you want to go with a more modded look, go with the greddy. the tanabes are dual cannisters, but look more like stock unless you look further under the back end (to see the chrome duals).

Tanabe is just 2 mufflers. Greddy is atleast y-pipe back. I would have to say you'll see better gains with greddy.

y pipe back system?? if this is so, you can easily install them yourself. i have the rattle issue, so the dealer is installing them for me free of labor charge.

edit: this retailer lists them for the g37 as a catback system.

The Tanabe are just mufflers. The Greddy is an axle-back system I believe.

ummm. for the price, i don't know why anyone would buy an aam exhaust at more than $400 above the greddy.

that picture looks pretty accurate. the tanabes i have sitting here have the exact same mounting points. two on the drivers side and one on the passenger. if you guys are sure, i'll take your word for it.

I know what it says but I am pretty sure it is just the mufflers and the mid-pipe. It doesn't go all the way back to the CATs from what I've been told.
