Jwt Review

This Is Going To Be A Simple Review. I Received My Popchargers On Thurs.

Looks ----- Honestly If I Didnt Know These Are Jwt I Would Of Thought They Were Bought Off Of Ebay !!! Theres No Logos Or Anything Else To Say Other Wise !! So Looks Alone I Would Say Cheap = Fail

Sound ---- Sounds Like A Intake !!! = Nice

Install --- Scale From 1 To 10 I Would Say A 2!! Honestly If You Cant Install These By Yourself You Shouldnt Be Modding!! = Nice

Butt Dyno ---- Wow... You Lose Torque !!! Just Like Any Other Intake I Have Had You Lose The Low End But Gain In The Top .. I Believe Another Member Or Staff Member Said They Felt Gains In The Low End!!!! I Dont Think So !! = Fail

In The End This Is Like Any Other Shortram Intake , Lose On The Low End But Gain In The Top , Sounds Cool, But Looks Cheap !!! The Only Way To Really Benefit From This Is A Good Ems And A Tune !! Than Ill Post My Opinion Again!!! I Also Have Berk Hfc And Waiting For My Fastintentions Exhaust !!! Someone Please Come Out With A Ems For The G37 So We Can See Some Real Results !! Flame On

I was the one that said I got a gain in the low end. Dyno doesn't lie so ya there is a gain. There might have been a little loss under 2k though but most dyno'ers, from what I have been told, don't take your car to far under 2k when dynoing in 4th or 5th gear so that cannot be seen on my dyno sheets. No flame from me. Ok review though.

I did NOT feel any loss down low... AT ALL... with the JWTs....

Now the Injens... thats a different story.....

After reading your opinion... It sounds like you regret buying

Anyone that is expecting much out of an intake is on crack IMO.

Hi, my name is BBoy and I am on crack. Proud member of CA (crack anonymous). j/k guys. I actually think I got a good amount of power out of my intake though. More than I expected to be honest. I was really waiting for an ECU management system to unleash the real power of the intake.

Sorry Not Expecting Anything Out Of A Intake !!! It Is Just A Intake. Like I Said I Have Had Intakes Before On My Is300 , 350z And Now G37 ... Everyone Of Those Vehicles Had The Same Thing In Common . Loss Of Low End Torque Including The G37. I Actually Went Through 3 Intakes On My 350z Greddy , Injen And K&N . Out Of Those 3 The K&N Was The Only One Worth A Damn!!! When It Was Tuned With A Ems It Felt Alot Better . The Torque That Is ! As Far As The Pop Charger ....... Im Sorry But It Is Cheap Looking And Has The Same Result As The Other 3 . Loss Of Low End Torque. When There Is A Good Ems I Will Be Tuning This Badboy With The Other Bolt Ons Im Getting For Some Real Results !! I Know From Experience Intakes Usually Fail !!!!!!!!!!LOL!

where in the rev range is the loss of tq? like 2200 or 3800? a 7-8hp top end gain might be worth the trade off. if it's 2200, who really cares, these little na motors are gutless down there anyways .... 3800?, now that WOULD be "fail" - lol

It would have to be below 2500. Here is my dyno sheet:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/intake-and-exhaust/182789-jwt-intake-thoughts-before-after-dynos-and-review.html

I found another dyno that shows a gain above 2200-2300 but I think that is the farthest down the RPMs go for for my dyno with the JWT.

besides right at 6400, the jwt dyno did perform better across the board against the stock box. basically zero loss of tq, even very low. certainly appears like win-win on the powerband, at least from this before/after dyno.

btw....was this comparison with a factory paper filter or a k&n drop in?

I see. It would be interesting to see a third overlay with drop in k&ns, for shiits and giggles
