I wonder if there would be any difference between Tanabe's or Exhaust Depot's Y-pipe, providing size and weld quality is the same..it's just piping.

Yea, there's probably some name brand mark up going here, but take a look at a quality cat back system with dual mufflers...these are half of that cost as they should be $795. And my car doesn't fart..thank you, althought they will stink like hell when you first brake them in. Add a $250 Y-Pipe and your done as far as Cat back.

Are u kidding me, $795 is half the cost of a quality cat back system, LOL!! I got my magnaflow catback system for $496 shipped to my door, and it is a "quality cat back system", wow now I really know I got one hell of a deal!

Yeah, the Magnaflow is good in quality for sound and price. But the finish of the magnaflow compared to the tanabe is day and night. You can get the tanabe's as clean as the day they came out of the box even after a few months with out much effort.
Just to compare, I have JIC-Magic y-pipe w/ a Greddy exhaust. When my car was up on the lift the other day we looked at my exhaust and the Greddy looked pretty used, but the JIC y-pipe looked like it was just put on 2 weeks ago.

Half the cost of a quality DUAL MUFFLER cat back system... That Mag's a great value, don't get me wrong, but the Tanabe's look better. And who knows, hopefully someday we'll see a independant dyno of a Medalion Y-pipe system to compare performance.
