Injen CAI mode for those interested
I've figured out a way to get plenty of cold air to the filters. I made the mod a lot harder than was needed but thats because I'm old school. So I'll give you the simplified version. Start by removing the fake air inlets at the bottom of the bumper. They have one bolt at the top, snap in, and come out from the inside of the bumper. Get a piece of wood that will fit behind the inlets you just removed and drill out the center of each of the selected diamond areas using a bit of your choosing. I used a 31/64's" a 1/2" may work but it's real close and it would be easy to screw something up. I say selected because you want to leave at least two for attaching a screen in the back and a cover for the front for each inlet. Plus, you want to be careful along the top where the bolt fits not to drill through the mounting area. Hind sight, I'd leave them alone. It makes it easier to attach the screen. I wish I had. I used metal hollow wall anchors and all purpose liquid nails. This was the easiest way I found for attaching the screens and providing a way to attach the covers. I used stainless steel insect screen because it's heavy enough to withstand the air forces that will be present and thin galvanized sheeting for the covers because it's very easy to work with. I got everything except the screens at Lowes. The screen was the hard part, finally found it at a RV shop. Now to explain the cover, it's for when it rains to keep the water away from the filters. I'm making a solid insert for behind the factory air inlets for the same reason. I think these are what caused Max's water problems with this intake. This mod will maximize this inlet's potential. I'm not recommending this for everyone just those who want the additional cold air. My finished product will work and doesn't look bad either but because I'm **** about things I plan on redoing it with new fake inlets when I clean the filters. I haven't completed the install yet because I'm waiting for some other parts. I just put this out there for anyone interested. I'll try to post some pic's but I'm not very good at that stuff (old guy).

I know what hes talking about, I was going to do the same a few months ago b/c i hated those ugly fake vents. I was just simply going to put black mesh there and open the area in the wheel well to help the brakes breath.

WOW! not having much luck. Hey Max, I love you but not in a homo way thanks for the help. Guy's the pic's are mine. They look a little rough but they will clean up and any one who gose this route can modify any way they choose. Paint ect. I'm willing to answer questions as long as they don't require posting pic's. The pic's I down loaded to photobucket had a descriiption for each pic. I'm going to learn how to do this I promise!
