I personally don't like this intake IMO... I seen the write up that MaxtotheG37 posted up and was definititely not impressed. For the hype that this intake created about no other system making power and this one making all the power out of every intake system out there. You had to modify some stuff and the installation wasn't very straight forward, unlike every other intake system out there. So bottom line is in my opinon that the hype that was created around this intake system I think it's a joke.. I mean after all it's just a intake system. Like I have said before how much power do you really expect to get by changing out a couple pieces of aluminum piping and two filters???

I want to say i'm more into the noise than the hp gain.. but at the same time i dont like modifying things that much. The horn relocation and the wiper thing is gettin to me.. which is the reason why i'm thinking of letting this thing go..

Hey you bought it so I would intall it especially if you are stock and plan to stay stock besides the intake. If you are stock and then try to do a before/after dyno if you install it and post the results.

i have made the decision to install mine...
it looks nice, sounds nice, and anything better then stock whp, is an improvement. Its gonna be too much of a pain in the *** to return it of try to sell it

Hmm...
Injen Pros:
- Sexy Sound
- Looks stunning under the hood, nice modded look
Injen Cons:
- PITA install (2-4 hours of your time or $125 to the shop)
- PITA to change filters (jacked and via wheels wells or bumper removal)
- PITAx999 if you hyrdolock
- PITA horn relocation (or "bending" your horn if you take that route)
- PITA to swap back to stock airbox
- PITA & ugly red dinky windshield washer reserve with risky unwarrantied sensor fitment
- Little to no gains whether modded or stock (as per PMS & herrjr's dynoes, respectively)
- $$$$ Costs 500 + install fees (unless you install)
JWT pros:
- Sounds just about as sweet as Injen
- Power gains will probably minimal to moderate (at least as much if not more than Injen - but hey intakes are not FI
- has heat shield so no heat soak
- reliable/solid build by Nissan specialists (JWT)
- Pop Charger has proven design/results with past VQ motors
- Easy as Fukk Install
- Easy as Fukk filter changing
- Easy as Fukk to swap back to stock
- No washer reserve change
- No horn relocation/bending
- Cost - Can be had for about $300ish shipped from HPAuto
JWT Cons:
- Looks are not as flashy or modded looking as the Injen
.
