Thats just plain silly to think that people talking had anything to do with the price. If people are paying $500 for HFC's claiming 9hp, thats $55.50 per pony they are spending. If they paid MSRP for Injens CAI claiming 14hp, thats only $51.79 per pony. It's actually cheaper per HP gained to buy this set-up, if the HP numbers are 100% legit. So it's not over priced at all if it delivers the gains as promised. Thats just my .02.
P.S. I went with Fujita cause I'll scrap the HP and get intake and an ecu flash for that much $$$

Going by your method of thinking, forums influence price, if everyone on here was saying "I won't pay more than $300 for Injens CAI, I don't care about the R&D or HP gains" then Injen's price would be lower? Come on! With the economy the way it is I don't think any business has room for inflation, and to think Injen would raise prices because 25 people were trying to guess the price on 1 forum on the net, I think you are giving everyone on here a little too much power over things in this universe. Injen probably had the MSRP set a while ago. And if they did happen to read the posts and raise the price, they will be sorry because the MSRP of $725 turned a lot of admirers off big time!

Haha, I was a bit harsh in my wording. I don't think forum talk has any large, overt influence on price. But when a manufacturer has internally generated a price during R&D, and then sees pre-release buzz from a respective sample of it's market consistently voice the opinion that they would pay more than the price they internally set - it could trigger them to take a second look to make sure they think they are charging what they should, even if it's just a psychological gut check.
If you want to talk worth - I just think that perceived worth in a market is probably a factor in such pricing decisions.
That said, I don't think the group price is too unreasonable - I may jump in on a group buy if the dynos look good
