Wonder why they chose an H-Pipe design? I thought X-Pipes were superior.

not sure how the g compares to mustangs

but when i was researching for the mustang, it seemed x-pipes made a tad more power, but were more raspy sounding

What I don't like it that they are using clamps instead of bolts and gaskets.

bolts/ gaskets> clamps
clamps = higher propensity for exhaust leak

Guys, just asking, of all the exhaust outthere, do you know of someone with a 5AT G37 that has a Video? So far, it seems that all the video I have seen so far are from 6MT guys, problem is that the shipping to Puerto Rico is so HUGE (FI quoted me $325) that I'm convincing my buddy that has another G37 to buy the same setup than me (Exhaust and intakes) so that way we try to combine shipping and save about $200 each one.

But he was told recently that double check the sound coming from an 5AT, because it sound great standing by, but when it's rolling (according to one his friends) the car gets so annoying that it kills the purpose.

So, what do you think?, Anyone with a 5AT with exhaust can elaborate in how great it sounds compare to the usual 6Mt that I hear on the streets and on the Youtube videos. If you have a 5AT and an exhaust, do you have a video that I can watch?, Thanks a lot in advance.

Well I had HFCs there was no "drone". I think that if the car was going to drone it would do it with HFCs IMO- unless you purchase a poorly designed exhaust set up.

I am selling mine though because I am going with the Tanabe exhaust and the combo would male it is just a little louder than I wanted at highway speeds.

For most the sound is actually a positive thing but when I am cruising on long trips I like minimal sound from my exhaust. At 3K /75 to 80 MPH is where the throttle begins to open up a bit so that's where you will hear your exhaust the most under load.

It is my opinion that for this car, whichever exhaust you get, will sound pretty much the same on a 5AT as a 6MT especialy driving around town.
