Well I had HFCs there was no "drone". I think that if the car was going to drone it would do it with HFCs IMO- unless you purchase a poorly designed exhaust set up.
I am selling mine though because I am going with the Tanabe exhaust and the combo would male it is just a little louder than I wanted at highway speeds.
For most the sound is actually a positive thing but when I am cruising on long trips I like minimal sound from my exhaust. At 3K /75 to 80 MPH is where the throttle begins to open up a bit so that's where you will hear your exhaust the most under load.
It is my opinion that for this car, whichever exhaust you get, will sound pretty much the same on a 5AT as a 6MT especialy driving around town.

Thanks for your inputs, anyone else?

But he was told recently that double check the sound coming from an 5AT, because it sound great standing by, but when it's rolling (according to one his friends) the car gets so annoying that it kills the purpose.
erasat...what does your friend mean by annoying? Is he talking about a drone or something else?

However the G was designed nicely in this regard and power is transferred through the drivetrain much more efficiently than a typical auto. You don't get the uneccesary low speed droning that you get in most autos.

Maybe in this exhaust they were going for a balance if sound reduction and keeping the flow as straight as possible.

All of you who have replied, thanks. Keep them coming, remember any video is welcome.

The problem with a video is that you wont get a true feel for the how it sounds. Drone is typically a resonating sound that can't be identified unless you are actually in the car. Peterbanks has a video link posted somewhere on the site from the inside with High Flow Cats. But I am not sure if he is 5AT or 6MT.
Do a search and you might find it. Or PM him.
