Anyone with the Stillen Exhaust???

Just want some reviews from people that have the Stillen exhaust installed (good or bad). Looking at getting one, just doing the research before I make a decision.

Info from anyone whether you have it installed or not is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The STILLEN exhaust is great if your looking for power and not a whole lot of sound difference. If you want power and a different sound. I would suggest (HKS,TANABE,FI). Don't get me wrong there exhaust systems make powere but, there exhaust note isn't too different then stock. Hope that helps. Good luck in your decision.

I have it. I really like how it kinda hides up underneath the car. Sound is great...not too loud. I think you are less likely to get pulled over for modified exhaust with Stillen.

Did you get it installed at the dealership, or another shop?

Every exhaust that is out complies with the 93db sound limit if you are running stock cats...

stillen exhaust

I just had Stillen full exhaust installed on my G-37 at their open house this morning. Sound isn't much different than the stock, a little softer and deeper, but mostly imperceptible.

Performance is another thing. I have Stillen's cold box intakes as well. At least on the ride home (about 6 miles) seemed MUCH LESS responsive at throttle than the stock, even sluggish. Have to really press the throttle all the way to the floor to get a response, and it's far less snappy.

Maybe I'll have to wait for the computer to recognize new settings, but was told they disconnect the batter to auto reset the brain. Will have to drive for a few days I guess. If it doesn't get better, will take it back.

The exhaust will make you power, but the intakes pretty much make 0 HP/TQ gains, and sometimes losses 1-2 HP. No intake on the market right now for our cars is worth buying for performance, only for sound/looks. The Injen CAI coming out soon has been rumored to produce over 10 HP with dyno proof.

I was at Stillen Day, too. They wanted, I believe, around $1118.00 or so for their cat back exhaust. Very expensive and that was their "discounted" show price, install was free though. I was VERY close to buying the stillen long tubes with the carbon fiber-look heat shields but that would have ran me about $586-587, tax included. I resisted temptation though, and decided to wait for injen to release their's before I purchased. The more choices the better.

Talked to the guy at the Injen booth and said we should see it around the middle of June, RETAIL will be around $700. That's retail though, you know it's going to be cheaper. He said it was going to add around 16 hp, if you can believe it. That's quite ambitious, and I will believe it when I see it.

I saw Gamedog's car and Blueslate's car with the prototypes installed.
