I don't think there's a catch. This might be just the first exhaust though that Greddy might be releasing for the G37 just like they had 3 different types for the G35. Plus, Greddy exhaust were never the priciest to begin with either. If you check a few of the sites as well, the retail is in the high $800s, I think there's just giving some competitive pricing.

Fast intentions Exhaust offers them in aluminzed and stainless, prices is higher on stainless steel (also depending on the what type of stainless steel) and Fast intentions stainless steel and Tanabe's stainless steel which is 304 is very expensive compared to aluminzed. Basically, you get what you pay for....

i do not think it matters on what type of metal it is made from. i bet both kind of metal produces the same hp.
