So I placed my order for it. $729.00 for the mufflers... $787.00 shipped to the east coast from AZ.
It's a little on the high side for an axle back system but it provides exactly what I am looking for. Good sound quality while keeping the dbs relatively low and some gains.
Surely it is better than the imfamous rattle.

Called Tanabe today. They said they won't have their exhaust available to everyone here until end of May or beginning of June. I'll assume this doesn't include that initial shipment the TS is talking about.

Too much $$$ just for an axle back IMHO
All its really replacing is the muffler, but most of the restrictive stock exhaust stays on.
I cant wait to see an independent dyno to see if there are any gains

RYs06MT has them on his car. He has a vid out on youtube of the car revving up under load but th evideo was taken from the outside.
The G37 car doesn't produce much drone at all with aftermarket exhaust components. I have HFCs and if the car was going to drone badly it would do it with the HFCs on. You can hear the humm of the exhaust however at 75- 80 MPH. For 90% of folks who get exhaust systems that will be a non-issue. For me however I am looking into active tail silencers even after I get the Tanabe so that I can keep the humm non-existent until I engage at WOT.
The Tanabe Touring Medalion is marketed for upscale Touring and Grand Touring cars although it is also available for other types of vehicles.. Lexus seems to have a huge market for this exhaust line because it keeps the DBs low on an otherwise stock system.
The Tanabe system is also only axle back so there won't be much that of a difference in volume than stock other than a deeper tone.
As regards the greddy system. it to is for sale on HPs website. It looks like it is described as a cat back system however.
