Don't you have to consider WHERE in the power band you gained torque? From what I've seen, most intakes lose a bit of torque in the lower RPM band and gain in the mid and highs. So yes, you may have gained 9whp from your dynos, but if it's not in the lower RPM range (where the G really needs it), you probably won't feel any difference.

In my opinion, (judging by my passed vehicles) the power gains are difficult to notice after adding only an intake, but the throttle response was a huge improvement. For that reason an intake is worth it.
