The BERK's have what they call a mechanical cel fix. Basically if you look at the tp's you'll notice that the O2 censor doesn't screw directly into the main pipe, but rather into the long extension that comes off of the pipe. It seems that it is more difficult to fool our cars though. This was taken from BERK's Test Pipe product page:
From everything I read, the metallic HFC's produced almost as much power as the Test Pipes without any of the issues. Here's the link to the Test Pipes if you want to check them out: → TEST PIPES ←
Mechanical CEL fix included, but on the 07-up HR motors it is less effective than the 03-06 motors.

This is very good since we have more selections from 350Z HFC part bins. Please check in below link for HFC offered for 350Z cars.

Well after doing some research, I am leaning towards doing HFC instead of an exhaust on my car. My goal was 350bhp at the crank and with my Stillen Long-tube intake I already have and the HFC I should be fairly close to that. I am also aiming at keeping a stock/oem appearence and keeping the OE exhaust intact accomplishes this. I am afraid a Test pipe would introduce way to many issues I am not ready to deal with. The Berk pipe is supposidly 49-state legal; I asume the 1 state it isn't is California. I am in FLA so am probably fine. What about warranty issues with an HFC??
As far as making my mind up, hopefully when I get back from vacation, I can see and hear peterbanks setup first hand and make up my mind. It all depends on how loud the HFC's are, if they are noticiably louder, I might shy away due to my intake.
Does anyone have HFC with an intake that can comment on the sound... I'd like a nice agressive sound, but do not want something that everyone will hear me coming a mile away.... performance is more important to me than sound.

Leaving the stock manifolds in place seems to make this mod a bit of a waste bang for the buck-wise. Cat back would be a better investment IMO. I wouldn't touch the cats unless doing headers too. You won't be using the HFC's to their potential otherwise...
