Got Resonator Removed!!!

Just got my resonators removed today. Sounds Greeaat! In my opinion, it sounds like a V8 Mustang when in 1st gear. Sound waaay more throaty. It def made the exhaust come to life.

Sorry I don't have any sound clips yet. Just got it done today and wanted to share. The only reason why I did this was bc I wanted a more agressive sound but didn't want to spend $1000-$1300 on a exhaust that who knows what it sounds like or even if it adds power. After removing the 2 resonators, I (personally) achieved the sound I was looking for. It feels like I picked up a couple of horses too. I would recomend this to those that want an exhaust but can't decide on one yet. It gives you a nice sound and feel for $60. Got it done at a local muffler shop where I live called "Speedway Muffler" great work they did. I kept the factory ones jut in case I ever wanted to go back, but I don't think I will.

Did you just go to a muffler shop and have them weld in a straight pc. of pipe where the resonators use to be? Any other considerations with this mod? Also, how much louder would you say it is at idle? Sound clips would be helpful, but I won't beat that horse....

I will put sound clips as soon as I can. It is def not a DIY mod. Unless you have a plasma cutter and is very skilled at welding. It sounds prob about 10% louder at idle and 30% louder than stock when driving.

What about emissions control laws?

Also:
What about the O2 sensors and the computer recognizing they're missing?

Or does it?

Resonators are nothing but like a 2nd muffler....nothing about emissions. They are just there to quiet down the car more than the muffler. Cutting them off has no effect on 02 sensors.

it ranges around 35 to 80 to remove a resonator
most muffler shops can do it!

Hm are there any potential risks involved with removing the resonators?
