Can you install the intake yourself or is it a better idea to take it to a shop?

I would take to a shop.

I did for mine.

you can really mess your engine, there are some re-location of fuseboxes/relays.

I do not reccomend you try yourself, unless your are a risk taker.

Also, may i reccomed you reflash ecu after installing.

i dnt think its necessary to pay to have an intake installed....its as easy as filling your car up with gas.....but reset your ECU after.

What do you have to relocate when instaling intakes. Others here have done it themselves and no one reported having to move anything. I have done intakes in other cars and never relocated anything.
Sounds like your mechanic is taking advantage of you....

You only have to relocate the relay box on the 6mt. The 5AT would be much easier since you don't have to move anything around.

How come Stillen doesn't have dyno charts for the Intake available? Anyone know what the peak gains are and also does the intake noise on the Stillen drown out the exhaust note or can the exhaust note still be heard? Video of the Stillen in action would be nice!!

$400 is pretty steep - I have a 6mt so if I have to relocate a relay box I would prob want to do it professionally!

Also I would argue that it's a little more difficult than filling up the gas. I would trust my sister or g/f to fill up gas for me - but I wouldnt let them install an intake even with instructions...
