Hey Callaway, I don't think you are imagining anything. It definitely changed, quickly at first, then slower as I get up there (500+) in miles. More resonant, more free. You can definitely tell by listening that this is a higher compression motor. I love that stronger POP when the exhaust valves first crack open on each cylinder.

Yes, I can hear them, can't you?

This motor is much more of a beast than it appears on the surface.

I hear the POP too. LOL
Question... how did you drive your G the first 500 miles or so. I've seen the INFINITE threads on break-in, just curious how you drove yours in particular.

I'm at 900 miles, and a trusted mechanic / friend at the dealership who works on engines told me that he would just drive it in DS mode all the time for the break in period.

Take it to Red Line, and let it come down as long as the DS mode holds the gear. He says engine braking will help it more.

I have broken it in using DS/Manual mode and up and down the rpm gauge. Short bursts to 6-6.5K and back. I have never hit the limiter. This method over almost all 900 miles now and my exhaust has really opened up as well and you can best tell the difference on start-up. At first the start-up was fairly throaty and respectful, but now it sounds deep and powerful on start-up. It just keeps getting better. What a great machine
