Paintless Dent Removal Anyone?
Damn! Got my first door ding. It's a typical door ding - about an inch or so in size. Fortunately it didn't break the paint, but because it's on the driver's side, the blemish is about as ignorable as a hairy facial mole.
Any one had a ding "fixed" by paintless dent removal? Or know of someone who did? Were you satisfied with the result, and did it really restore your car to pre-ding perfection?

It's extremely effective. My friend's car got hammered by hail last year, had about 200 dimples all over his car. After the paintless dent removal, you can't even tell the dents were ever there.

Thanks, guys. I've got an appointment set up with one of the guys from Mirage (I hear Mirage is tapped, so to speak, by our very own Infiniti of Honolulu). Based on what's been said here and elsewhere, I'm hopeful.
Lucky we don't have hail in Hawaii.

Got it done. Randall of Mirage came to my work place parking lot and did it. I left him alone to perform his magic. It took him less than half an hour to complete the job.
I'm extremely satisfied with the end result. I'm not entirely certain anymore where that nagging ding was. The paint was affected slightly by the impact, so it can be spotted, but it takes a bit of effort. Even then, you have to know where to look.
Here's wishing the rest of you live door ding-free...But if not, there's PDR.

hey how much did mirage charge you to fix the ding you had? I already got 2 dings (argh) in just one month of owning the car, real small and minor but it pisses me off just seeing them. lemme know, thanks!

Two dings in one month is terrible. Parking is an adventure in this town.

I got a REALLY bad door ding at Walmart and even worse it was on the line on the side in the rear quarter panel. Infiniti dealership wouldn't do anything and referred me to a shady looking dent removal place :/
Ended up taking it to a mercedes dealership that had its own paint store and got it removed there. With some haggling, cost $100 and the car looks good as new.
