Group Buy - Clutch Pedal Assist Spring for 6MT
#63
For me it took some getting used to the feel with the pedal right off the floor, just as the lighter spring is coming on. Wasn't much to relearn at the top of the pedal stroke. All depends what you're used to I guess. This was the first mod I did within a week of getting the car, so didn't really get accustomed to the stock feel.
I got an email from a fellow in canada. Apparently his was already delivered, yet one I sent the same day or a day earlier to TX is still en route.. Go figure...
For those that haven't ordered yet, I still got springs left, so if you're interested, follow the instructions in post #1.

Maybe I'll be able to figure out how to swap the lighter spring into the old "body" but not until my new spring arrives, so I'll ask - how do you swap out the heavier spring for the new - lighter one from jsolo?
thanks.
thanks.

^^Review the first link in the opening post. The g37 implementation is 100% identical to the 370Z.
Some are finding it easier to ziptie the old/new spring before taking the tension off. I suppose that makes it easier for a one person operation, but that, or depress the pedal, or have your helper depress while you remove it.
It takes me longer to gather all the tools than to actually pop the clip and swap springs. Some white lithium grease on the shaft and pivots wouldn't hurt either.
PS. Yours is in the mail.
