Group Buy - Clutch Pedal Assist Spring for 6MT
#331
So I installed the new spring a couple months ago..and all was good until the other day. I noticed a clicking noise when letting the clutch out and found out its the small inner spring thats making the noise. I'm guessing it's out of place or something? Im going to take a look at it today...anyone else come across this?

JSolo, Do you have any other springs for sell? Please PM me if you do as I'm looking for one for my G37s. I just purchased my car yesterday and already have a list of things I want to change on it.

@masterk1, some play is normal. There's slack in the linkage, plus you don't want it adjusted so tight as to result in the clutch not fully engaging. Depending on miles and age, it probably wouldn't hurt to bleed the line either. If I had to guess, I'd say I have about 1/2" or so of freeplay in mine too.

I'm gonna take back my last post. After another day of driving with the new spring, I no longer notice the slack in the clutch. I guess once you drive it a bit, it becomes the new norm.

Sorry for my late response. I typed it literally a day ago but got sidetracked and forgot to submit.
You can adjust the free play in the MC push rod by loosening the nuts on the pushrod shaft. However, heed the warning above. The reason for the slack being noticeable is because the spring is weaker so it doesn't push the pedal to the top stop with as much force as stock.
