Zane_Ngo, it's not so much the additional stiffness (which is very slight), but more so the feedback that you'll get. With the stock set up, most of us can't feel the engagement point other than to see the car start moving. The weaker spring changes this characteristic.

I put Jsolo's spring in for other reasons/issues my clutch had. With his spring it didn't change the feel of having no spring at all.

Or just remove the OEM spring assembly, like RPM here just said. The bump-stop into the clutch switch will be off, and the pedal itself will be kind of loose side-to-side, but if you focus on how it drives rather than the floppy in the pedal, you'll see.
Just saying, for perspective.

Just did this install.
Jsolo: Transaction and shipping, speed and packaging were top notch. Thanks!
A couple of installation notes:
1. I did not remove the top pin.
2. I cut a small stick to hold the clutch pedal down, wedging it carefully against the front seat trim. This helps because it slackens the spring.
3. Bottom retaining c-clip pries off easily with a small screwdriver. Keep a hand over it so that it doesn't *sprang!* somewhere when it comes off.
4. The new spring is much less forceful. You can compress it pretty easily. I put two wire wraps on it and pulled them tight to artificially compress the spring. This helped on assembly because, combined with the clutch pedal being down, there was no tension on the bottom support. I could easily move it around and line up the hole.
5. I could easily push the pin through the support. I then used a pair of channellocks to squeeze it through the rest of the way.
Driving impressions.
1. I was expecting noticeably more pedal effort. Not true. When the clutch is engaged (pedal down) the spring (original or replacement) is not compressed. So the pedal effort while holding the clutch pedal down is unchanged. I would think stop and go driving would be little affected.
2. What is changed is a little more effort on clutch tip in; when initially depressing the pedal. This is counter-balanced by much less "push-back" by the pedal when letting the clutch out. THIS is why the feel is better. I think the original spring was assisting a lot, pushing back on your foot, at JUST the wrong time; just as the clutch was engaging. It creates an artifical spring effect which occurs ON TOP OF the natural clutch spring effect. The two together create a confused feel at the actual clutch engagement point. With the new spring, the actual clutch spring is much more dominant at the point of engagement, ergo, better feel.
3. I imagine the idea Infiniti had was to offer "assist" on initial clutch tip in, to make the clutch less heavy. But the compromise was bad clutch feel coming off the clutch at engagement. The new spring is a much better compromise.
