Anyone has any idea what is causing these sounds?

This is enigmatic, been trying to figure that out for a long time. Apparently it is coming from the lower portion of the engine bay , esp from the right side lower portion. You will hear two distinct sounds, the background sound is from the pulley area, but please listen to the 'drrrrrrr" , its intermittent. once a mechanic said it is from within the engine. Please leave your inputs. Thank you

Does the car sound like a tractor? Maybe the hydraulic lifters?

Then it could be most likely the hydraulic lifters that you are hearing

Yes you are correct it does not have hydraulic lifters but that is what others mention in the forum, or some call it solid lifters.

The VQ37VHR does NOT use hydraulic valve lifters. This engine uses solid (aka "mechanical") lifters. The term "hydraulic lifter" is thrown around this forum- and others- casually and VERY incorrectly.

If, and I say IF, the lifters are out of spec, they are replaced. There is NO adjustment.

HOWEVER!, only the EXHAUST side of the valve train can- technically- be serviced. IF any components on the INTAKE side need replacing, the ENTIRE VVEL Ladder assembly has to be replaced.

Hopefully this clears up some confusion.

That second clip reminds me of my cat that has a broken honeycomb piece inside.
