I need help bad - numerous electrical problems
So One day at 1 in the morning there was a really bad rain storm. My alarm went off out of no where and wouldn’t turn off, out if no where I was able to turn it of. Later that morning I went to go turn my G37s on and it wouldn’t turn on or turn just the battery on. after about 50 attempts to turn on the car it finally turned on but the hole time it wasn’t detecting my key (the little key light on the dash.
Once I got my car on I soon found out my that many more things were not working. Turning signals, windshield wipers, paddle shifters are not working, even my dash would turn off then turn back on. Then when I went to turn off the car it would not turn off.
I tried to do some research and thought my ecu got messed up but then I got a replacement and still didn’t work. When I scan my codes it tells me
-Can communication error bank one- I have no clue what that means because I am not very good with wiring. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

First did you check to make sure there is no water in/near/around the BCM and ECM areas? As your issues popped off during a rain storm this is the likely cause. Plus, more of these cars are falling victim to the faulty sunroof drain issue.
Pull up the carpet under the passenger side dashboard and check for water at the bottom of the floor pan. Then we will know more.
CANBUS COM errors are very difficult to track down. It could be anything from a broken wire to a bad ground connection or, faulty/damaged electronics and anything in between.

No more water? So then there was water damage?
At this point the only thing I can suggest is disconnect your battery, remove the ECM and the BCM and let them sit in the sun for a day or two. While you are doing this, make sure ALL of the wiring connectors are dry and clean. All it takes is 1 drop of water or corrosion... Probably wouldn't hurt to put your original ECM back in.
Put everything back together and see what she does. If the CAN COM error persists then it gets more difficult.

Little update
So I got my own code scanner and it’s telling me that it’s the ecm fuse. Can anyone point me in the right Direction on where I can buy a new fuse because I called local auto parts stores and they said they don’t carry them?

The U1000 code is very hard to diagnose as it could be anything. First, disconnect the battery and check the fusible links at the positive terminal. Link C/80amp, provides power to the IPDM/er (fuse box next to battery) for the ECU. In the IPDM/er check fuse #50 (15amp) as this is the main power source for the ECU.
If the ECU is getting power and is properly grounded, diagnosing the U1000 will be a royal PITA. Remember, U1000 is a generic COM(munication) code which may or may not be power related.
Those are the only fuses I can see in the 2008 Coupe FSM (same as my car) to supply power to the ECU. Hopefully others will come up with some ideas...

There are four (4) wires that ground the ECU. Once you locate the right connector and wires, you can trace those 4 wires to the grounding location: likely a bolt on the metal frame of the car (likely not too far from the ECU itself):
Easiest method- if you have a digital multimeter- would be to disconnect the harness connector and probe each of those four wires to a good metal location on the frame for continuity. I would focus on finding the grounding bolt and check for any corrosion (being that you had previous water damage). Once found, you can remove the bolt, clean the area and ring terminal with a little sandpaper, and reattach.

If you have a ton of codes, especially if they are B (Body) class codes, more than likely your BCM is shot from water damage. Can you provide a text list of the codes?
At this point you will have to decide what to do next. If you replace the BCM, you will have to get the car reprogrammed (all keys to new BCM). Even then there are no guarantees.
