engine bay stays hot

quick question, don't know if I'm being paranoid or not but I feel like my engine bay stays extremely warm for far too long.

granted it's summer, and yes it's hot, but after a few hours of sitting in the shade, it's still pretty hot as in I can't hold my finger on anything metal for more than a second. I can feel the heat opening the hood too or even just coming close to it.

Temp gauge reads normal, no weird noises or any fluid leaking, wondering if this is normal? is the engine bay just not releasing heat like it should?

Thanks!

Yep, sounds normal to me, these VQs run hot and retain their heat for awhile. If your temp gauge stays constant at the halfway point you should be fine.
