Battery disconnect

The instructions for adding an accessory directs you to take off the negative terminal. Does anyone know what I will lose? I'm referring to seat presets, channel memory, etc. I have a 2012 w/nav. Will I lose anything from the address book or Bluetooth phone book?

What exactly are you doing? When I added a fuse tap I didn't disconnect the battery. I was very careful however to not short out any wires.

Rear deck spoiler. Due to relocating the camera & trunk button, the instructions are clear. I just want to know what I will lose while the battery cable is off.
