Husky 2 1/2 Ton Jack vs Harbor Freight 3 Ton Jack
Hi,
I currently have a Husky 2 1/2 Ton Low Profile Jack. Purchased it at Home Depot awhile back.
I am looking to use the Jack on oil changes, tire rotation, etc.
I haven't tried using the Husky jack on my G37 yet as I was experiencing w/ Rhino ramp. After running over the ramp w/ dad car (not sure if wet tire had to do w/ it ), I feel a little worried using the ramp on my G37. i'd used the ramp on G37 about 2-3 times prior.
this past weekend i was helping sis on changing the starter on her 04 corolla & man, the husky jack was weak. thinking how am i suppose to use the jack on my G37.
im looking at jack from harbor freight & can you tell me if there is a difference between the Husky & the Harbor Freight? of course besides the 2 1/2 vs 3 ton but dunno if it is a major difference.
Car is Stock: Husky is low profile & harbor freight is regular..btw will non low profile jack work on stock G37?
sorry for long post & thanks in advance.

I have this one which has an even longer nose and lower profile version of it.
Low Profile Floor Jack - 2 Ton, Rapid Pump® Jack
It's heavy and it's a beast. If you're not real low you can slide it to the front sub frame and jack up both sides at the same time. Which is what I liked about it because on our cars the front jacking point is far in.

You can try costco for the arcan xl35r jack, item # 300930 . It seems to be a seasonal item, around here only one store had it when I was shopping for it.
Looks like they carry this one now:

I changed a starter out on a neighbors corolla the other week and didn't need to jack it up at all. There was plenty of room underneath it

Getting ready to do oil change w new jack but concerned
My car is stock w 17' wheels. Is the red circle pic the jacking point for front?
I took pic from side of car from driver side. How does one use the jack from front of car? Seems pretty low even w low profile jack. 3rd pic don't count, as it was park on a slope so it may looks like more clearance there. believe everything is intact w front lining.... Hmmm
