I'll be doing quite a bit of freeway driving next week. Start a new job at the end of the month, so we're taking a week to go to Disneyland. Will see what kind of mileage I get on the trip there and back.

I'm probably older than you

I had a 1940 Pontiac while in college. Not sure if I have any photos of that car and also had a 58 Ford, 53 Studebaker, 55 Chevy, and a 53 Cadillac and others

I also get very good MPG on my G37S on highway driving and round trips to Florida from NJ

Hi Telcoman,

For your sake, I hope you're not older than me. :-) 1955 Chevy, sweet. I think back about the muscle cars of the 50's '60's 70's, few were as fast as a stock G37. Mileage wasn't too good for most. One of my cars got 6 mpg. But, gas was 30 cents a gallon and the drag strip was $5.00 every Wednesday... 300+ HP and 20-30 mpg, amazing. These are the good old days, too.

I remember gas at .25c per gallon for leaded regular.

my commute daily is long af, 37 miles one way. i noticed that my mpg was starting to suck (prior to this job, i was getting around 18-19 with a shorter commute thru atlanta).

I heard about using Seafoam on your car, as well as cleaning the throttle bodies. I've been keeping up with it since i started at the beginning of the year, and i'm now averaging 20mpg @ around 80-85 mph. This is after adding a few boltons w/ NO tune.
