Tried searching for info on this but didn't find anything.

Doing the first oil change on my G. There is an Infiniti dealership 8km away there is also a Nissan dealership 0.5km away. Does anyone know if Nissan washers are the same as the one I need for my G?

Will give them a call and head over tomorrow. I actually have a 2011 G25 (hope I'm safe here ) so I guess the equavalent Nissan engine is an Altima. I'd guess that all oil washers are the same across the Infiniti/Nissan line though.

I can confirm they are the same, I currently have a crush washer from a nissan dealership in mine. Not that they're that expensive to begin with but they're about 50% less expensive at the Nissan Dealership and where I live they're right next door.

Yes Nissan washers are exactly the same and they sell for cheaper than Infiniti dealerships. FYI filters too.

I bought a 10pack of OE filters on ebay 2 years ago. Upon closer inspection of the listing, crush washers were also included, all for $52 shipped!

that's a pretty good price. I tend to but oil when the auto chains have sales and they usually include filters. I think as long as you do your research and avoid Fram, you should be fine. The tiny size of the oil filters can be disconcerting.

^^I wonder just how much size matters in this application. Filters have gotten smaller over the years yet actually filter better. While the car is in warranty I decided to stick with OE filters. After that, whatever decent filter I can get.

Just so you know, that same nissan filter is used on dozens of different vehicles, including motorcycles (kawasaki and yamaha). I truly wonder if there is really any difference internally in terms of flow rate, filtration, and bypass valve pressure.

I usually don't change the copper ring...didn't for years in the maxima and it never leaked from that spot. Not advising you not to do it, but missing it a few times usually won't cause a leak.

This being my first DIY oil change I listened to my friends advice I bought a Fram?

poor quality materials / construction. Fram Ultra filters seem to be fine but other models seem to get panned. You can check Bob the Oil Guy for further reviews.

Quick question...
I cleaned the air filters yesterday, they didn't seem too dirty. Car is 2011 and has 29000 km (18000 miles). What do you think about the air filters, clean enough, replace soon?
