"old" gas - crazy, or.........
The other day I was yakking with a friend, and happened to mention in passing that I usually got gas when the gauge was somewhere between one-half and one-quarter full.
Right away he said that I should never do this, that I should always let the tank get down to almost empty, otherwise there would always be too much "old" gas circulating, and that in time overall performance would be adversely affected.
I said that as long as I was routinely driving the car, and getting gas at regular intervals, I couldn't see how the gas already in the tank could get old and deteriorate enough to make any difference, but he would have none of it.
He's usually a pretty savvy guy, but this sounds like nonsense to me, or could he actually have a valid point here...............??
