Do the doors lock on their own
On late model Gs
You keep the keyfob in your pocket but can unlike the door with to button on the handle
What about locking the door
When you turn the car off and walk away do the doors lock by them self?

I would actually like to know this as well, had a couple if mornings where I walk out and my car is unlocked :/. When my hands full I sometimes forget to lock it. There was a couple of time when I was washing my car and it autolocked... It was just pretty random, I don't think it ever did that when I parked.

The doors *do* lock automatically when you go over 15mph. They will automatically unlock when you turn the car off. AFAIK, that's the only time your locks do anything without you specifically pushing a button.

I think that's only after they've been locked to begin with. OP was asking if the doors will simply lock automatically after shutting down and walking away. They will not. Either push the button on the door handle, use the key fob, or insert the mini valet key into the keyhole and turn left. Aha you guys forgot about that last one, admit it!

But good point on the physical key itself, I've never needed used it. Actually I lied... I used it to cut some tape on a box at work once.
