Exclamation 2300 rpm max, bucking ???

Oh man do I need help. I have an 09 G37s coupe 6mt with about 55k miles. I was driving on my way to school today when I came to a stop light, wasn't the first of the day or anything. When I started to go in 1st gear I hit about 2300 RPMs and the car started shuddering, bucking, wouldn't exceed the 2300 rmp mark. I let off the gas and it was still running ok. I was probably less than a mile from the dealership so I decided to limp it there, it actually ran / drove fine if I shifted it under the 2300 RPM mark, just took a football field to get it to 40mph lol.

Also... I had noticed for a while that sometimes once I came to a stop in neutral the RMPs would momentarily dip down for a second and then return to normal. I asked the dealer about the hesitation the last few times I got the oil changed and they dismissed it as the probably the fan kicking on. The last Oil change was maybe 3 weeks ago.

Any info on what would make the car buck and shudder once I hit the 2300 rpm mark?? Thanks for any help!!

So it's at the dealership right now? What did they tell you about it?

I dropped it off this afternoon, and seeing it is a Saturday afternoon they probably weren't going to get to it today. So I have zero info from them at this time. Check engine light lit up when the issue started.

I just don't want to get charged/ raped $$1200 for some BS fix or something if it is only a dirty MAFs or Throttle body.

Could be anything from an A/F sensor to a VVEL actuator...

Well, dealership said I had no oil pressure in the front of the engine with because of some seals or gaskets that were misshaped or something. I dunno what's the deal, they said its all covered under the drivetrain warranty so that's good. I'm just hoping that there was no permanent damage to the engine.

There's a gasket on your inner timing cover for oil pressure that rips and looses oil pressure.

This happened to mine at 58k and ive seen it happen to many 09 + maximas , muranos etc lol.

Your inner cover will be replaced as its a non serviceable gasket. And its a bitch to replace.

Take a look, the brown gasket is the culprit.

I have a similar problem with my G37s, its a 2011 with about 90K on it (i drive alot of highway for work). Anyway, did the some thing, one night it was fine, the next morning it had a rough idle and would buck, stutter, shift back and forth when accelerating. Dealership says they think its a loose timing gear and the front cover needs to come off. Anyway, they quoted me 3K to fix. This doesn't make me happy. Any suggestions?

The issue documented here and illustrated in the photo is exactly what happened to my wife's G. That's why I asked about what code is being shown. P0300 and P0524. Have your oil pressure checked. If it's low, the issue is the blown gasket shown here. Timing gears don't often come loose.

I will call dealership to get the codes. Thanks. I imagine the job is still just as involved and expensive in either case?

So infiniti USA told me to go eff myself. I guess 90k is acceptable mileage for the timing gears any gaskets to last.

Biggest bunch of BS

I swear, I'm really getting angry at whoever designed this cheap a$$ gasket and we're all left footing the bill for it if we've gone past the warranty period!
This is a design flaw and they should fkn eat it!
