Sunroof won't close.

Hi guys,

My 2008 g37s sunroof won't come down from tilt.
I can hear the motor and it sounds like it moves up, forward and tilt position but no movement on the roof itself.

I'd take it to dealership but my warranty is out, anyone know a fix?

Screw for the motor has probably come out. Search it on G35driver forums. I've seen write-up/self repair on there for 07+ G35 sedans (should be exactly the same).

Exactly what happened!
Thank you for pointing the way.
I found Sunroof Stuck Open..Help.. - Page 3 - G35Driver and to my amazement I found the screw in the exact location of the pictures also.

Glad you found it! I was busy at work and didn't have time to look for it.

The thread on MyG35 worked for me...removing the center led and mic cover provided access to the sunroof motor and lose screws. Tightened the screws and all is well. Thanks!

Hi folks, the sunroof on my 2008 G37 coupe appears to have this same problem, stuck in the tilt position.
I've read the G35 thread, and googled around, but can't seem to find a basic how-to on removing/"popping" center switch/lights to access the motor. (I miss the old days when there were screws to unscrew!)
Any tips? I'd hate to break or cause further damage.
