Hiccuping during Acceleration

I noticed something strange about a couple weeks ago and thought it was just me but then someone else riding with me told me they noticed it as well.

When I accelerate in DS Manual mode, in second gear around 2600-2700rpm, the engine does what I can best describe as hiccup. The needle almost stalls for a second then continues accelerating upward. Does anyone know what this could be/has anyone had this issue? This only happens in second gear which makes me believe it is definitely transmission related.

If needed, I can try and get a video of it.

Nothing?
I'll be taking it to the dealer soon so I guess I'll see then.

I just washed the car and when I was pulling out onto the road, I pressed the pedal three fourths of the way down and around 4-5K RPM, the car is diving back and forth and the needle as you say hiccups until i let off the gas! Then i pulled around and see if it happened again and same thing happened...what does this mean?

Symptoms sound like you hit the rev limiter. Sure it happened in the 4-5k range & not higher?

I definitely don't hit the rev limiter when mine occurs. I hold the pedal at constant acceleration and the RPMs still stall out a tad when I hit right below 3k. Under hard acceleration it doesn't do it though.
