I have the arcan one too, $100+tax at costco. Don't really need the aluminum one unless you plan on taking it with you. The arcan one is HEAVY... ~100lb.

I don't normally raise a corner of the car. Usually either the diff or front K gets jacked, then jack stands in the pinch weld locations (using hockey pucks with slots to avoid damage). The arcan one is rated at 3.25 tons, but this should work too.

Note, not all costco's carry the arcan one. I don't have the sku handy. You'll have to search for it. Give your local store a call, and if OOS, have them check surrounding store inventory. I had to travel to one about 15 miles away to get it.

The Arcan is good, as others have stated it is really heavy.

I usually raise the car from the dimple in the front or the pumpkin in the rear.
Its not as low profile as it can be, I dont have a drop and in the front it tends to crush that plastic undercover until after a few pumps.

Arcan has an aluminum 2 ton floor jack but the one I linked for NOS at Costco is actually made by the same company that makes Arcan...Powerstation. After looking at photos and specs it is essentially the same floor jack as the Arcan so I'm buying it. No matter what it will be better than the cheap one I've been using the last 10 years.

^ I've got epoxy-coated floors, the Arcan works just fine, albeit noisy when you drag it around.

Bought the NOS 2 ton floor jack and finally had a chance to use it. I couldn't be happier. Fast pump works great to max height in 5 pumps (advertised for 6), low enough to get under the front jacking point. Makes very short work of getting the car on jack stands compared to the cheap floor jack I'd been using. The build quality seems to be excellent as well. Best of all, at 49lbs it's easy to move around and pick up off the floor if needed.

Thanks to all for your input.
