37S Drivers Window rolls back down when using Auto-up.
Hello Everyone!
Hopefully someone has an answer to this question, because the Nissan dealership that sold it too me gave me a insane excuse as to why this is happening.
I just bought a 2008 G37S Coupe, and the drivers side window basically is rolling itself back down about a quarter after it hits the top. I know this is the sensor thinking something is in the way, but there isn't! I've reset the window a couple times without any success, and checked the door trim for anything obvious that might trigger the sensor.
Nissan guys explanation: "The tint is thick and its hitting setting off the sensor". Hmmm well my thought was the tint is exactly the same on both windows, however the passengers side window works just fine. (my '12 TL is tinted and the windows work just fine too :P)
We got the Infiniti Protection Plan on the car, so do you think perhaps the Infiniti dealer might have an actual solution to this and it would be covered in the IPP? Any idea's on what I could try on my own?
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
Love the G37 in spite of this minor problem!
Thanks!

So when you say reset you mean 15 sec down and 15 sec up correct. When my car did this, i did this: rolled both windows done and then held both window switches down for 15 sec and then pulled up for 15 sec. I had to do this twice before it worked, also my windows are tinted and that hasnt caused any issues.

Thx for the quick reply!
Yes, I did hold it down for 15 then up for 15. I could hear a slight click in the window area when the window resets. They put in a new battery and I think maybe they didn't do the reset quite right.
I will try again, if that doesn't work then I'll just mention it when the car goes in for it's first service.
If I hold the button the entire time the window is going up it does close... but I mean, it's supposed to be automatic... lol.

WOW I'm not alone!! My window does this to and it pisses me off, especially when I have to get out of the car or take a phone call (bluetooth of course). Reset after reset it still does this...Found any solutions??
EDIT: Tried the TSB located here http://www.infinitig37.com/TSB/1RY15.pdf and it seems to be working fine for now. We'll see.

I had this same problem with driver side window. Took it to Infiniti and they replaced the motor/sensor. The problem was still there. They finally found that it was the door's up/down switch that was the problem. Replaced the switches and everything is working properly.
