Redline?
Okay, I have had the G37s for almost a week now and I have a few performance related questions. I just installed a Greddy ti-c cat back and I love the sound and performance difference! I am wondering if getting a chirp from the p275/30R20's is possible with the stock clutch? and if not which clutch would be a good streetable alternative to the stock unit? Also I was unaware that the rev limiter starts in at around 5K (well at least in neutral not moving) is there a way to ditch that? I am assuming some type of power programmer? Thanks in advance!

You're probably on the wrong forum, bro to be honest. People here don't really dog their cars out like that.
FYI: Pretty much any car can chirp the wheels if it is a stick. And once you put the car in gear, the redline that you see on the dash is true. Not sure why you haven't noticed that if you've driven it for a week.
Have you driven it?

^hes right. If you clutch in while stopped or if your moving then redline is 7200ish. Other than that what wheels do you have? How heavy? Thatll make a huge difference as to how easy those tiresll break loose.

I think he means if he floors it in neutral at a standstill, it'll cap at 5000rpm.
I don't really know why you'd want to take that off lol, but I'm sure there are tunes that'll do whatever you want them to do to your ECU.
And by chirp, do you mean burnout, or 1-->2 chirp? If it's the shifting chirp, it all depends on how fast you shift and what RPM you shift at. Just practice your shift times and you'll get chirp into 4th lol, even with your 275's.

The redline is not at 5000. That's an idiot proof feature to keep stupid people from blowing up the engine by trying to redline it in neutral with no load on the engine. If you want to chirp the tires, disable VDC and rev it all the way to the idiot redline and dump the clutch suddenly. They'll chirp.
