Key intermittently not recognized

So...2008 G37S Coupe.

I have a key with a fresh battery. It seems to always work as a remote, i.e. locking/unlocking by using the buttons.

However, all of a sudden about two weeks ago, maybe 80% of the time I can't use the buttons on the door handles to lock/unlock, and then the same thing in the car, it doesn't see the key and you have to plug it into the dash.

Had anybody else seen this issue??

I haven't had this problem and also have a 2008 G37S. Could be a bad battery. They're not all perfect. Try replacing it again, or cleaning the contacts. Corrosion on the contacts could reduce the electrical conductance and cause your issues.
