Paddle Shifters...

Looking to buy a AT G37 Sport Coupe w/ Nav. My problem I keep running into is I can't find that many that have the paddle shifters. Those are necessary for me to have, so I need to know if I can put them on after the purchase.

Yes, you can. As a matter of fact, I installed mine yesterday. You can order the kits online from a couple of dealers that have ebay stores. Install is super easy and takes about 30 mins. There's a DIY on g35driver.com that's linked in a thread on here.

I think they're hard to find right now, though.

check to see if you have the wiring required for the install. I thought I had it, but turned out I didn't and had to sell my kit. I drive a Journey Coupe with Premium package.

Mike, how difficult was it to install? a lot of pulling, prying, etc? or pretty much snap into place and connect the wires?

Thats concerning since I don't wanna pull apart the steering column of a dealerships G. Is there a lot number that distinguishes the prewired from the none?

Install is really easy. Just take off the trim pieces, bolt on the paddle shifters, and attach the new trim pieces. There's a DIY on G35driver that's linked in a paddle shifter thread in sedan sub-forum. You DO NOT have to take off the steering wheel, just turn it 90* to access screws.

If you're getting a coupe w/ Nav it should be pre-wired. Everything I've read say coupes w/ Nav are pre-wired and all sedans except base models are pre-wired.

DocJohn just posted a nice DIY in the paddle shifter thread in the Sedan section, which is really good too. It has diagrams from the Service Manual.
